Susan McAlpine graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. in Physical Therapy and spent more than four decades working in the profession she loved. She worked in major hospitals and in rural medical settings, as well as in a clinic she established and operated for more than 15 years. In 1974 Susan and her husband Richard moved to Argenteuil where they raised their two children, and her work continued here with a predominantly elderly patient population. She is an everyday cook, not a trained chef, but the recipes many of her patients shared with her have seen decades of testing in family kitchens throughout the area.
